Many people choose not to seam seal their tarps but for the maximum level of waterproofing we recommend any tarp be treated along the center seam. The recommended sealer for this tarp is our silnylon sealant found on the line/shelter accessories page. You simply apply a small amount of sealant to a gloved finger and spread a thin even coat along the center seam being sure to cover all of the exposed threads/folds in the fabric and let stand overnight to dry. This works best when you seal the outside layer of the tarp and should be done with the seam under mild tension such as when the tarp is in an A-frame configuration.

10x10 Silnylon OD Tarp
I haven't had an opportunity to camp with this tarp yet (as I only received it a few days ago), but I did set it up in A-frame configuration to seam seal the stitching. The stitches were all in good order, the tie outs were well stitched as well. All tie outs along the hem were doubled over and stitched into the hem to increase their strength. The material is very finely woven. The ripstop grid is incredibly tight, much tighter than the standard weight tarps. Overall, I am very impressed with the quality of this tarp, as well as it's weight and packability. I doubt that one could find a 10x10 of better quality at this weight. I look forward to pitching it in a couple weeks when I can get back out for an overnighter.
I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet, but the quality seems top notch. The stitching is robust. One tube of silicon sealant does both sides of the seam. It packs down very small.
Incredibly lightweight and packs small
