A great DIY project and something fun to do with the kids. All cordage and beads included to make your own
pace beads. Please select colors from the above list. Step by step directions with pictures listed below:
Step 1: Remove the inner strands and save one inner strand and the outer sheath.
Step 2: Fold the outer sheath in half and wrap one strand of inner sheath around the end to for 2 connected
loops. Then slide your bead through the inner strand and slide it down toward the outer sheath. Make sure
the bottom of the skull is facing the outer sheath as this will be the correct orientation. The smaller cord
helps you leverage the bead onto the thick outer cord.
Step 3: Pull the inner cord tight and slide the skull bead down onto the paracord outer sheath, you will feel
some resistance here. Continue doing this until all 14 skull beads are on the outer sheath.
Step 4: Once all of the beads are on slide them down toward the bottom of the outer sheath. Next, remove
the small inner strand and set it aside. You will need to make a small overhand knot about one inch from
the end of the cord, this will hold the beads in place.
Step 5: Slide 4 beads up toward the top knot and tie another knot leaving approximately 1.5-2 inches of
room for the beads to slide.
Step 6: Slide the remaining 9 beads up toward the second knot. You will now tie a third knot approximately
one inch from the end of the cords. You can lightly burn the ends of the cord with a lighter to prevent
fraying (adults only please).
Completed product. Congratulations you're done!
