The Koretemp system components are manufactured to be a fully integrated modular shelter system that can used individually or in conjunction with each other based on your specific shelter needs. This reduces the amount of gear that you need to carry due to the ability of the system components to serve multiple functions. The KoreTemp Modular Poncho is a 70d PU-coated poncho made to pair up with the optional KoreTemp Modular Shelter Half or stand alone.
The OCP camouflaged pattern blends in well with most environments and is the new pattern of the US military. The poncho has 8 low profile tabs bar tacked around the perimeter. These allow the KoreTemp Poncho to be set up in several different shelter configurations. All the snaps on the poncho are double sided. This gives the user the option to snap 2 of them together for larger shelter options or snapping a single poncho together to make an emergency bivy. The seams on the hoods of the KoreTemp Poncho have a binder strip sewn into them. This makes the seam very resistant to foul weather. The perimeter has a 1.5” piece of webbing sewn into it for added strength and durability. A stuff sack is included with the KoreTemp Poncho.
We recommend sealing this poncho with our Fast Cure Seam Sealant found on the line/shelter accessories page. You simply apply a thin even coat along the hood seams being sure to cover all of the exposed threads/folds in the fabric and let stand overnight to dry. This works best when you seal the outside layer of the poncho.

Works great so far in light rain, great craftsmanship and very light to pack in pack.
I haven't had a chance to use the poncho yet but the materials and construction are top notch. I plan on using the poncho for both shelter and as rain gear. Everything I have ever purchased from BCO is high quality and just as advertised.
Get the MEST. It’s the BEST. Honestly, the most honest to goodness tarp/poncho you can get. I ordered two to make a shelter. Of the highest quality and hey let’s support veterans. Hello from an Aussie. God bless. Adam.
I used this poncho a few times while in pouring rain and stayed totally dry. The way it snaps up the side is great because it helps keep you ventilated. The length is just about perfect for me, I'm 6'2" and the width is spot on as well. I haven't tried it as a tarp yet, but that will be next. You can't go wrong with this poncho or with BCUSA.
I have opened it up, and set it up several times with the Ridgeline Kit, but have not really used it yet. The snaps were a bit hard to snap, but they are new. Let you know more when I have used it a bit more!
